    Nsv - 4059 - The Mind - Card Game

The Mind - Awesome New Collaborative Game for 2-4 players
This is an excellent game for 2-4 players. It is a collaborative game, so you all win (to varying degrees) together. This set is in German but the instructions are downloadable in English, and the cards themselves are non-language-specific so it plays well in any language.

    The PERFECT Little Music Player
It doesn't play videos. It doesn't show pictures. It doesn't have a clock, calendar, or organizer. It has an FM radio with 40 presets, but you don't care, since it's not all that great of a radio. It plays music (MP3, WMA, OGG and FLAC) and other audio files, and it does this pretty much better than any other player, big or small. It has outstanding sound. Think all portable music players sound alike? Compare this to an iPod or a Zune, and you'll notice that the sound coming out of this device is somehow much better. Size matters, and even though the Clip is roughly the size of the Shuffle, it actually has a screen that is worthy of being used, all while still being able to be clipped comfortably to the collar of a T-shirt while working out. The little clip actually works as designed, but you can remove it if you really don't want it. Don't break it, though - they cost an arm and half a leg to replace. The controls are completely logical, so you can power it up or down, lock the settings, adjust the volume, fast forward or rewind, skip forwards or backwards, all without looking at the device. And the well-designed spring loaded slider for power on/off means it's highly unlikely that it will accidentally turn on or off in your pocket. I get 8 hours or so out of a fully charged battery. For such a tiny device, that's pretty good. The recharging is done via the USB connection, which (unlike every other Sansa I have used) intelligently does NOT require a custom cable - it's a standard mini-B connector. You can drag and drop your tunes, or if you prefer, use Windows Media Player to organize your music. My passion is audiobooks, and the Clip supports both Audible and DRM MP3 and WMA files like the free ones from your OverDrive Library account. What's not instantly apparent is that if you move the transferred Audible or OverDrive books into the Audiobooks folder, the Clip will remember where you left off (on more than one book), and ask you if you want to go back to the bookmark when you return to a book after taking a break and listening to some tunes or the radio. Probably the one thing I wish it had was a micro-SD slot like the Fuze, but that would probably make it just too big to be perfect. So, if you want to play videos, pictures, or games, get something else. If you want great sound, tiny size, and simple yet effective controls, get a Clip.

Excellent Music Player, Very Good Video Player
The Sansa Fuze 4G that I got new on eBay is the perfect size, a combination of features from the small Sansa Clip and the more expensive, larger screen Sansa View. I didn't want to pay the higher price of the View, but I wanted SDHC card expandability and video support that the Clip (my favorite music player of all time) did not offer. I had read all of the "professional" and consumer reviews of the Fuze, and was ready to be disappointed with the size and clarity of the screen. I was pretty sure (and I was correct) that the capability of the Fuze to handle music would be all I could ask for. The rotating thumbwheel makes navigating through the menus and my music a snap. The volume control on the thumbwheel is a big improvement over the Clip's side rocker switch. The sound is every bit as good as the Clip, too. Audiobooks are a primary use of a portable music player for me, and the Fuze accepts Audible and DRM and non-DRM MP3 and WMA files with ease. You can leave off anywhere you want in an audiobook (as long as it is either an Audible book or you put it into the Audiobooks folder on the Fuze), and it sets a bookmark so you can go back and pick up where you left off. In short, it's perfect at audiobooks. The 40-station presets for the FM radio are a breeze to set using the thumbwheel. Reception isn't great, but it isn't horrible either. What surprised me the most was the way it handled videos (once I got one converted). The demo video that they put on the thing makes it look much worse than it actually is - SanDisk should seriously change that to something that looks nice. I ripped a DVD to VOB files using DVDShrink (freeware), then merged the individual VOB files into one using VOBMerge (also freeware), converted that single VOB file to an AVI file using WinFF (guess what- freeware), then converted and transferred the AVI file to the Fuze using the included Sansa Media Converter. I was pleasantly surprised! What started out as a 4.7G VOB file was compressed to less than 1G on the Fuze, and the clarity was excellent for a 1.9" screen! Some people had complained about sound and video not being in sync after a conversion, but the DVD that I ripped and converted was in perfect sync as much as halfway through (I have not watched past there yet). I will definitely go through this (somewhat painful) process to have a couple of DVD's on my Fuze! My only complaint about the video playback is that fast-forwarding and rewinding does not accelerate like it does with music or audiobooks. No matter how long you leave the fast forward or rewind button held, it moves at the same rate (not fast enough, in other words). It would take 10 minutes or so to fast forward to 3/4 the way through a movie. I need to see if there is a setting for that... Finally, BATTERY LIFE. I am supposed to get 20+ hours on a charge when playing music or audiobooks, and 5 hours when playing back video. If I get even 2/3 of that, I will be VERY happy - no other music player that I know of boasts that kind of battery life. The battery is not user-replaceable, but hey - a year or two from now, I'll be upgrading to a newer model Sansa anyway!
