Not right for my Helios 44
I bought a Helios 44 lens in m39 mount along with an m42 to e mount adapter. This threaded 38-42 ring was too deep to allow the lens to fully seat into the m42 adapter. Thus preventing infinity focus. Now it very well may work with other lenses and mounts but not this pairing which is a very popular pairing.

Great bang for buck!
1 of 1 found this helpful Being that image quality in a film camera comes from the lens, I won't speak to IQ. As far as functions go, This is my favorite SLR camera at this point. I have 70 cameras and when I shoot 35mm film, this is my go to camera. All functions are easily accessible. It is lightweight yet still very well built. I love the built in flash. I use it for daytime fill flash and it is great. The focus speed is very good. Not as good as as a modern DSLR but being that film is so very expensive, I am usually not in a rush when I shoot film. So the minuscule delay in AF is a non issue. I have 4 Canon A2 or A2e cameras and I love them!

Simple and does the job well!
