Direct Replacement for Yamaha FGX830C
Great Tuners. Replaced my Yamaha FGX830C tuners with Gotoh SGV510Z-L5-HAPM L3+R3 and couldn't be happier. Direct fit - no modifications. Actually the intonation improved slightly at the nut because the height adjustability of the posts allowed me to adjust the angle the strings run over the nut. The locking feature and 1:21 ratio significantly reduces string replacement time! Can't say enough about how happy I am with the Yamaha FGX830C after replacing with these tuners, nut and saddle (tusq).

FGX800C is a Great Guitar!!
2 of 2 found this helpful Great starting place to get a even better guitar... Replaced the nut and bridge with $15 bone version and adjusted the action and intonation in the process. Needed truss rod adjusted - no big deal - comes with allen wrench. Dyed the fretboard and tailpiece with waterproof india ink to turn walnut into ebony. This guitar is brighter than my Taylor 810E, or should I say not as deep, but it projects nicely and I am not afraid to take it anywhere. Electronics sound good! Love the cutaway and onboard tuner.
