Good value but flimsy construction

I bought this to use on a 50mm standard lens on a full frame Nikon When the lens hood is fitted the edges of the hood are just out of frame, which is ideal, but the hood itself is fairly flimsy and the end easily distorts causing the edges of the images to be clipped in the corners. The hood would be suitable for a longer lens on a full frame camera.
