Spectacular build quality and beautiful design beseiged by horrible companion software and memory limitations
1 of 1 found this helpful Pros: amazing battery life, quick charging, oled screen and design is breathtaking, controls are intuitive, sounds very good, feels weighty and very solidly built for it's size, uses standard mini usb
Cons: sonicstage ... facepalm (painfully slow and annoying quirks like a cumbersome sorting/search function, random crashes/hangs) but standalone vaio music transfer tool also works and is much better, buttons are a little hard to press, 1GB is barely sufficient but it's a shame it doesn't have more memory, very slow upload speeds (usb 1.1)
All in all if you just want some eye candy that sounds great and runs forever that you wont often load songs onto then this is the player for you. It really is a shame that sony doesn't release an updated version that physically is the same but with modern storage capacities (16 or 32gb) with support for lossless codecs and support for drag and drop loading with at least usb 2.0 speeds. This would be nearly perfect but alas the nw-e507 was released ahead of its time, limited by the technology, cost and sony codec decisions of its day. Still, as a secondary mp3 player to use when I'm feeling fancy it's hard to beat how beautiful it is!

Great little all in one projector for the price
1 of 1 found this helpful Pros: Having android (albeit an older 4.2 version) built into a projector is very convenient for pulling up and streaming youtube videos, movies via thumb drive or micro sd slot (specs say up to 32gb which I have confirmed but have yet to test larger capacities), or playing some retro games with a bluetooth controller. Yes the unit has 4GB of memory but only 2GB is usable so I would heavily advise getting a large micro sd card if you intend to save videos and games. For the uses described, I find the the relatively low WVGA resolution is adequate (but not recommended for text heavy presentations). I've used the onboard usb to attache thumb drive as well as a wireless keyboard and trackpad and both work flawlessly. In a fairly bright room, the ZTE can easily project ~40" and is bright enough for casual viewing, but in complete darkness I've pushed it to well over 100" with respectable results. Focus is very easy to dial in and not so touchy or finicky as some other pico projectors I have (I have noticed that as the unit warms up the focus will shift and need to be set again after about 15 minutes of use, but once done will be good for hours). Obviously the ZTE can't match the specs of a full size business class projector that can push over 2000 lumens, but I have to say that 100 lumens is good enough for 90% of my uses. Build quality is very good coming from a brand that I had never heard of previously.
Cons: The fan is pretty loud and while the build in speaker is indeed loud enough to be audible despite this, I would still heartily recommend using the 3.5mm audio output or bluetooth to attach nice speakers. With the projector on the unit gets very warm after use for three or fours hours (an app I've used reports internal temperatures up to 117 degrees F, but I haven't verified with a thermometer) so I would recommend making sure to run it in a cool room and leave the vents on the sides and bottom clear from obstructions. The specs of the android system are very dated so if you are used to modern quad core smartphones then be prepared for the system to be slow and chug when processing or downloading lots of data. The unit also accepts wireless miracast from other smartphones or tablets but I am unable to get it to work like it does with my android tv box (it attempts to connect and then fails every time). Finally my last qualm is the internal battery. While on paper 6000 mAh sounds impressive, expect to only get around 100 minutes out of it with the projector on and streaming videos over wifi.
Conclusion: The raw specs for the ZTE are not particularly impressive, but for casual use for youtube, movies, and some retro gaming I couldn't be happier given the price. I will definitely find many uses taking this projector over to friends' places to play a movie or get some gaming done or enjoying giant videos in the dark in the comfort of my home. Also the idea of having android built into a projector is very convenient and will surely turn heads when you pull it out and turn it on. I've been using this as a substitute for a tv and am very satisfied for the use I get for the price I paid. If you want to upgrade to a model with 720P native resolution, double the brightness, android 4.4 and are willing to pay nearly $300-500 then I would advise getting the ZTE Spro 2.

pokemon leaf green (a flashback of my childhood)
Awesome game (its a remake of the original pokemon blue or red for the black and white screened gameboy). The music is the same as I remember from my childhood but the graphics are updated to gba standards. Every time I play it, it takes me back to when I was a kid. Nearly infinite replay value (I never get tired of playing pokemon games). Definitely recommend (also try picking up sapphire or ruby another awesome pokemon game).
