Buyer beware.
1 of 1 found this helpful I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone that values the finish of their shock’s strut body. The rubber covers supplied DO protect the finish of the spring’s paint. However the product fails miserably at leaving the body of the shock unscathed. No matter how careful one is, or how much time they take to use these with care... Aslo, it is my opinion that these are somewhat unsafe. I found that no matter careful I was, and doing small equal turns alternating each side, that the compressors move. Dangerously. And when one attempts to loosen them, and back off the pressure, the small amount of torque required to do so, almost pries the compressor off from the spring. And that is a recipe for an accident waiting to happen. Don’t buy these for a one-time DIY project, as I attempted to do. Although changing the springs TYPICALLY is an quick & easy task, these TUSK shock scrapers will surely make it anything but. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Cheers.
