2 16dBi 2.4GHz 5GHz Dual Band RP-SMA WiFi Antenna TP-Link TL-WDR3500 TL-WR841ND

16dBi in name only; worse than the shorter antennas they replaced.

(Disclaimer: I am a licensed amateur operator and have been working with microwave RF since the late 90's.) Installed these and compared signal levels with those of the previous antennas, which might be anywhere from 3dBi to 12dBi (shorter, unmarked rubber ducks). The signal level in the 5GHz band was 2-4 dB lower, reducing the overall throughput availability for 802.11ac. If I had been more diligent, I would have tried for a return/refund.

Works great in macOS

Installed two of these in some Mac Pros (2012) to speed up file sharing. They work right out of the box. Although on one of them the WiFi card stopped working... I need to look into that.
