It helped, but didn't fully fix the problem
This was the second repair kit that I have put into my machine. The first one still leaked air at the regulator, but was far better than the worn out one. This, the second one, five years later, still leaked air, but not as badly. I can live with it, no regrets.
I think the repair kit is okay, but there may be an underlying problem with the plenum not allowing the regulator to seal and operate properly.

Perfect replacement
Replaced the stem on the kids old red Harbor Freight fat-tired trike. Works perfectly.
