Words old and new, such as Viscosity and Thermometer, are brought to the fore with this book!
Although it is a cardboard "baby" book, the reading and comprehension level is more for middle school. That said, I gave the book to a pregnant meteorologist, and she and her husband were THRILLED with it! They had already been discussing how to support their daughter-to-be in math and science from an early age, and this book did the trick! Of course, I bought several other such books by Chris Ferrie, along the same track. The Dad-to-be was excited because he thought the books gave him a basic understanding of terms and ideas that he thought were beyond him. So young and "old" will appreciate this book! Great illustrations, too.

Charming and compelling
I loved this book as a child learning to read, and now I'm glad to share it with my grandchildren. This story is rhythmic and repetitious, making learning fun! The illustrations have a timeless charm. There is a good moral to the story, as well!
