About 20 years ago I used to have the larger version of this. And I thought it was great, unfortunately it got damaged. I miss it. This one is similar. I really like it, love the sound. It's built very solid. For just listening to simple mp3 file music, it's very nice. I like the carrying case too. They don't build 'em like this anymore, I don't think Philips even builds anything anymore. Thank you!

Nice compact, replaces 9V batteries
2 of 2 found this helpful I checked the output voltage and it was 14V, so I don't know if that's what it's supposed to be. When I check voltages on the 9V I've been using a lot, they usually read between 8 and 10V, just seems the regulation is a little high so I was afraid to use it on my microprocessor.
