NRSV Pew Bible w/ Apocrypha
NRSV Bible includes the expanded Apocrypha. Notes are marginal, cross references are good. Books are introduced in detail.
Pew Bible features excellent printing, and durable, sturdy binding. Expect this Bible to hold up very well.

Bruce Metzger's Breaking the Code
2 of 3 found this helpful In a time when the market is virtually flooded with commentaries on John's Revelation, America's foremost NT scholar of the last several generations left behind a clear expositiory work on what is perhaps the least understood, and most often distorted, books of either testament of the Christian Bible.
Metzger cuts through years of idle evangelical speculation and makes John's Revalation clear and readily understandable to all.
This commentary is a must have for all who would gain a solid understanding of John's Revelation.

NRSV Holy Bible, Cambridge University Press
Cambridge has a storied history of producing first rate reference and study Bibles; this edition featuring the NRSV being no exception.
This reference edition features 10 point font, quality paper, a sewn - not glued - binding, and a choice of supple leather covers. Cambridge prints books to last.
Text is two column, featuring a very exhaustive cross reference system in the middle of the page. Words of Christ are in black.
The book is, roughly, seven by nine inches; compact, but easy to handle and read.
This edition features the Deuterocanonical books recognized by the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches, placed in their proper order between the old and new Covenants.
