Please read this before buying this piece of junk!!!

FIRST OFF DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!!! I bought 3 of these MFC 7420 printers because I had nothing but good luck with the 3 Brother MFC 6800's that I owned. The 7420 has an inherent design flaw. Inside the machine on the left side there is a white plastic "toner drive gear" which will snap off without warning. ESPECIALLY if you don't buy brand name brother toner cartridges. There was a mass shipping of "compatible" toner cartridges from China about 2 yeara ago which weren't up to specifications. As such there is increased stress on this little white plastic gear and after about 2 toner cartridges it snaps. Then you are in trouble because the toner people that you bought it from don't give a hoot that you snapped your drive gear. And the BROTHER people don't care because you used non branded toner. Oh yes, and you will NOT get 2500 sheets out of a TN350. At best you will get 1200 to 1500. Right now I am buying only brand name toner cartridges on Ebay (because they are about $69.00 retail) Best thing you can do is STEER CLEAR of this printer/fax/scanner. If you need a printer the HP1320N or HP1320 is a real gem. I can't help you when it comes to faxes because I am STILL using my old Brother MF6800. (those units are built like tanks and toner is cheap)
