Essential!

Hate the price tag, but, in looking at alternatives, they either clip to your vents (possible vent damage, restricts airflow, and chills phone battery which is not healthy to phone), go in your CD slot (possible damage to the CD player, and restricts use of CDs), and most use magnets which can confuse many smart features, or damage components of the phone. To add to those, then you're stuck with a wonky cheap thing in an out of place, not really convenient spot. The official CT holder is great. Wonderful, comfortable position, no fear of damaging the car or my phone, and it finally gives use to the weird cubby in the center! Happy with purchase! Just wish it was tall enough to hold in portrait position.
