Good starting point

The book is a great source of knowledge, lots of interesting stuff in there. However, the sketches of plants should really be replaced with photographs in my opinion. Having said this, a quick search on the internet is all you need to do. I think the book could be easily added to as there were some omissions. Overall though, a worthwhile book with lots of great information.

Does it's job

A bit snug in some areas, but it does the job. Easily modifiable & you can cut off the two lanyard type bits inside. It's big enough to get a couple of military glow sticks, pen knife, note pad, spork, couple of pens, matches & tea lamp candle, mini sharpening stone & some cordage. Still had room for a compass and my iPhone 6 in case fitted the item well. Well built, good zips, looks cool. Just the outside pocket on the front isn't much use really.
