Good gangster movie, but poor transcription
It is a decent movie, but Alpha video pirated someone else's release. In the process they ended up with a video which is very soft with poor detail. This is typical of a large number of their releases. So if you come across the original DVD release you will have a better movie. Alpha typically does little or no processing to add value other than create beautiful packaging and a fancy initial menu. Virtually every Alpha video I have purchased has been inferior to other releases. OK, they release it as a standard DVD rather than as a burned copy, which means their copy will last longer. Sometimes they do release a clean sharp copy, but that is rare in my experience.
I have a better copy from another source, but I bought this to see if it was better. Among the better sources for vintage videos is Warner Brothers Archive Collection

Good affordable protection for you View-Master reels
These light weight bags fit reel packets perfectly, and are much less expensive than the heavy duty protectors. They also do not increase the size of the packets so they can be stored in View-Master packet storage boxes. The flap can be sealed with the sticky tab. The adhesive is semi-stick so you can repeatedly unseal and reseal them. When sealed they are very protected against moisture damage. But the extra deep bag is inconvenient for retrieving reels for viewing. This can be solved by carefully cutting away the extra plastic on the plastic not covering the packet, and leaving the packet flap exposed. Essentially you end up with a single layer of plastic over the packet flap and you have easy access to the contents. This does compromise some of the moisture protection, but you end up with a more convenient covering.

Small pictures, not always clear with uniformly drab coloration
1 of 1 found this helpful These are conversions from frames of the original movie. The pictures are advertised on the package as being bigger, but in reality they are letter boxed so they are actually smaller. The action pictures are not very clear due to motion blurring. The reels are as durable as any View-Master pictures, but the film stock has an unknown lifetime. Many reels in late 1970s and after 1998 have faded to a magenta color, so the durability of the pictures is unknown.
The scenes are moderately entertaining, but the overall coloration is in shades of brown with very few bright colors, unlike the earlier View Master reels. The package claims brighter pictures, but the effect is actually darker. The result makes the pictures much less interesting. The depth is good in most scenes.
It is recommended for Star Wars fans, but the original movie was much more entertaining. Overall these scenes are missing the gorgeous colors of the older View-Master reels. One of the joys of 3D is exploring little details at various depths, especially the background, but that is missing in these pictures.
