Simple but very effective
I am a massive board game collector and love to play them but I find it hard to get people to play. Not with wicketz for a cricket fan it is a must because of the accuracy you get from the game with the scorecards even down to the scores the batting cards generate.
The game revolves around 2 spinners which attach to the board and a deck of cards which the batsman uses to face deliveries which are determined by the flick of the spinner to determine what delivery the batsman has to face. The batsman will then declare his shot to the ball before turning over the card. It is then determined on the card if the batsman has hit the ball to a zone he intended on the board if it says on the card at the top catch and there is a fielder in the zone then the batsman 1 to 4 get 3 spins to save themselves by spinning the 2nd spinner and landing it on a not out which is much smaller than the out sections but also beware if you try to play attacking shots to yorkers and good length deliveries you can be out with lbw and many other ways.
It is recommended to play 40 over matches but you can easily leave the board out and play test matches and keep fitting the overs in when you can it takes around 5 minutes at the extreme most to finish an over of 6 cards. I highly recommend it you can even play it if your not a cricket fan with the aid of the chart of shots to go for you just might find it tricky with judging the shots to play to the right deliveries but all in all Wicketz is a recommended buy from me.
