original always best
If you have a damaged interior part on your 350z, and we all know they can break or just wear out with over use, getting a replacement from an actual 350z that has been 'decomisioned' isa good way to approach it.
In my case, the door of the compartment had been broken by a previous owner who had it open and moved the seat back, trapping the door and breaking the geared hinge. The replacement was in god working order, and as Nissans have a simple mounting system it was easy to remove the broken one and slot in the replacement.
In my case I chose to source it from the UK because the locally sourced ones were 3x the cost. Paypal exchange rates and the global shipping system all worked in my favour, so within 3 weeks I had a functional car interior again.

Better than original.
Navman GPS units of the age and style this mount suits are still quite useful despite their age. The original windscreen mounting system doesn't age well, though. The suction mount dries out and cracks making it useless. The original ball mount is rubberised so it can bind with the locking but in an attempt to counter movement while driving. Neither of these elements weather well in the sun. The replacement item fits the unique slot in the back of the navman perfectly and the ball mount is tight enough, on its spring clip, to resist moving as the car bumps and jolts. By far the best element is the suction mount for the windscreen. It is supple enough to conform to the windscreen curve and strong enough to hold in damp or dry conditions. I am confident it won't be adversely effected by UV damage and should continue to offer a secure mount for the navman for the rest of its serviceable life.

Essential replacement to maintain the function of an old washing machine.
