Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.
It's not a surprise to overlook this movie. You tend to think that sequels to classic movies are usually quite bad (which in most cases, they are). A girlfriend of mine made this purchase about a month ago and my first reaction was, "are you kidding me?" Once it arrived I opened the package and really looked at the cover not even realizing it was Matthew Maconahay on the cover - even though it says his name up top. I guess I was to taken by the disbelief they would make a sequel in the first place. Nonetheless, my girlfriend came over and we started watching it. I figured this movie would suck horribly from Maconahay being in it, with his "surfer" appearances and out of place accent. Surprisingly, it was the total opposite. The incredibly bad acting was from every other actor and actress, including the Chainsaw Murderer. There was another character who quoted historic figures, which were often amusing. The makeup was something I enjoy looking for in movies - as far as blood, gore, etc - in this movies case, the props were actually pretty good. Renee Zellweger, who's much younger than I've ever personally seen in a movie, looked pretty and reminded me of Thelma from Scooby Doo. There's a scene that I couldn't help but remind and laugh repeatedly that had to do with exiting a window. Regardless of how bad the acting was, Renee and Matthew really were the stars in this movie. The script wasn't the best (nor the title, which you can't help think of Star Trek while reading..), the plot was pretty horrid and the only scenes that were worth watching had to do with flashing, yelling, screaming, leaping off and out of things and pretty much any scene with Maconahay flipping out. In all fairness, if you're a gore fan, you'll probably like this movie. It's more of a rental with friends (or a girlfriend/boyfriend), you'll most likely laugh rather than be scared. I'm really shocked that Maconahay managed to pull off his craziness the way he did. He should be in more movies like this, rather than being in the typical date movies he's regularly in.

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure
This movie was one of my all-time favorite kids movies. Growing up and watching it, I still think it's an amazing movie. One of, if not the original, movie Tim Burton directed takes you through all sorts of up's and down's. The acting, the playfulness, the design, the whole landscape of the movie was done very well. Especically in modern days where movies take you through oo's and ahh's, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure takes you on an actual adventure through the story. It's a classic movie for not only kids, but literally, the entire family. You could watch this movie with your kids, mother, father, boyfriend or girlfriend - or even your grandma for that matter, and have loads of fun. It's a promising movie, and I never get tired of it.
