Being used in an external enclosure for storage.
0 of 1 found this helpful I got it for the right price on E-bay,so far it's running cool and it's quiet and fast enough for what I'm using it for. I haven't had any problems so far and it was my 1st purchase of a 2.5" SATA H.D. I bought it because I'm partial to the Seagate/Maxtor H.D's. because of their reliability and the Maxtor/Acronis cloning Software which enables me to backup my primary H.D's. should one of them fail.

Very satisfied
One of the better H.D's. I worked with,recognized immed. successfuly partioned,formatted and installed O.S. without any hitches,it is running super quiet so far. I was pleasantly surprised when I seen the manufacture date (2004)where have these Drives been hiding this long ? I have had a lot of succes with Maxtor/Seagate H.D's. and always try to buy them when available, I'm hoping this one is as good as the rest of them that I own. Thanks for getting them out on the Market.
