Feature-rich WiFi thermostat with robust local API
Local API is awesome. No need for cloud/internet services at all. Have everything integrated via home assistant and accessible via Wireguard, which both run a Raspberry Pi 4. Has ability to set deadbands, cycles per hour, temp sensor offsets, stages, and pretty much anything I think you would really need. The screen is very nice, as are some of the themes that it comes with. The beach theme in the picture actually changes between a day and evening version depending on time of day.
The only issue is that the screen affects the built-in temp sensor, but setting an offset fixes that. Just use a reference thermometer to calibrate it.
