Illbleed, yet another forgotten gem on the Dreamcast.
2 of 3 found this helpful Please understand that the ratings are based on a game form 2001, by todays standards the graphics are a bit muddy and since they are not in HD, makes looking at this with an open mind, a requirement. That being said, I think horror games are best played on older systems with older games because this pretty much was the tail end of the golden age of them. In illbleed, you find yourself trapped in a very sinister carnival/movie themed type setting where you and your friends originally try and win a gonzo load pf money, but what starts out as laughs and giggles quickly turns to, mutants, traps and lots of bloody death.
It's a good entry into the survival horror genre, and fans of 80's horror flicks will certainly feel right at home with it's over the top characters and excessive amount of carnage. Rated M because there is many questionable goings on to be found in the world of Illbleed.

1 of 1 found this helpful Its not that its a bad film, because it isn't. The problem is that there are certain expectations when watching a Danny Boyle film (28 days later) that you expect. The main characters are fairly well defined and you certainly get a glimpse into the mental state of a crew that has been on a spaceship for a very long time, but the action sequences could have been ratcheted up a little more and for a movie so frought with tension, I was surprisingly non-tense. The surprise antagonist left something to be desired and I was able to pick apart several large plot holes. Am I being unfair, probably, my family gives me a hard time when we watch movies because I always see the things that are wrong in film and like to point them out. THere is action, there is excitement and yes, the special effects are pretty good. C+.
