Brass, but not
These swivels are brass when you get them, but silver when they are used in salt water. My guess is they are brassed stainless steel. They seem not to rust and are strong. Don't really know why they would be sold as brass except that is the most popular material historically. Stainless is just fine with me, as long as they don't rust in salt water and stay as strong at they are now: I'm good with them. At this point they get five stars for strength and not rusting. Will get back to this review if they rust. If not; Tight Lines!

Ritchie Marine makes dependable products.
This is an older discontinued product from the renowned compass company, Ritchie Marine. This particular model 60 compass was produced in 1976, so has spent many years in the original box. Due to age and evaporation, the fluid level is a bit low, but the rest of the compass is in perfect working order. The fluid can be left alone or replaced, so that is not a serious negative. In conclusion, I an a happy buyer. Ritchie Marine is a standard in the industry.

Perfect replacement
it is a shame to have to retire older electronics that work just fine due to a dead battery. This battery is the exact replacement for the original battery of this Garmin series GPS's.THANK YOU!
