WORKS PRETTY WELL
1 of 1 found this helpful The Ring doorbell is very well made, sturdy, and pretty easy to install. It comes with everything you need other than a drill. It comes with a drill bit for masonry, which I needed since I was mounting it on stucco, and even a little level to make sure the doorbell isn't crooked. It can be operated by an internal rechargeable battery or connected to an existing door bell circuit. If connected to an existing bell circuit, then the house chime still works with the Ring. Otherwise, you'll need one or more of their wi-fi chimes. The Ring operates through their mobile app, It took me a call to their tech support to get the Ring properly connected to my network and set up in the app. My only two complaints are: (1) that the app is sometimes is slow to notify of a motion detection and there were no instructions on how to use the app (i.e., how to talk to someone who has rung the bell), and (2) you have to pay their cloud fee to retain captured videos.

VERY WELL MADE PROTECTION
The Otterbox case and holster are durably made and, I presume, will protect my phone well. It was a bit difficult getting the case on the phone--I had to use a small screw driver to separate the clips that hold the two halves of the case together. The case has an integral screen protector that requires a bit of experience using as it slightly reduces the touch sensitivity of the phone. In fact, I had a tempered glass protector on the phone when I first put it into the case. However, that little bit of extra depth on the phone caused the flexible screen protector on the case to bow out a bit, making it even more difficult to use the touch screen on the phone. But once I removed the glass protector, the case worked fine. The phone and case are easily snapped into the holster and can easily be released from the holster with one hand (although releasing it may take a bit of practice). I also like that the phone can be put in the holster either screen in or screen out. With the screen facing out, the belt clip on the holster can be locked open and used as a stand for the phone. Cheaper case/holsters I've used weren't has versatile.
