Getting started using the external cases
I cannibalized 2 old laptops removing the CD/DVD RWs and fitted them into the external cases I purchased. They work well.
There is a technique though to assembling them. You have to place the electronic bar in place up against the rear of the case first. When the outlets a seated flush with the back of the case, you simply drop the CD/DVD RW gently into the case so that the male and female 52 pin plug join together.and align properly. Put the screws in the back and tighten to hold the whole thing together.
