Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Lens, Almost MINT
    Aug 18, 2020
    Decent lens.
The large objective lens gathers more light to satisfy requirements of the large-sized image sensor of the 5Ds. However, I feel the lens should be priced lower in the first place. Saying this is a discount only has meaning because the maker prices it too high in the first place. The limited focal range means the lens had limited utility in the field for anything that's not a wide shot. Rather than use this 'big lens,' I find that carrying an older 75-300mm lens produces very good results on a sunny Arizona day for many photographic situations.

Low Financial Risk - More Than Adequate Performance - so EXPERIMENT!
The description leaves out the odd overlap between the front- and back-facing images when they are stitched (and there can be slight offset or rotation). Stitching is accomplished using software you must download from the Web. A spherical view can only be seen using appropriate viewing software (or post to facebook), and only after stitching. The video is not super high quality. This superbly low-cost spherical camera is a meat-and-potatoes solution that gets the job done. Don't expect forensics quality images or video. Mine gets used during hikes, using a 3D printed mount with an electronic 3-axis gimbal. It smooths out the experience but motion causes distortion. The Blackfin's great price permits experimentation with low cost risk. Broke one? You're not out a hundred smackaroos. Mine got cast into a the top of a tree to record in-tree video. No lie! I should have used more fishing line, I should have cast a weight to lower down and attach the camera, and I should NOT have THWACKed it right into a huge tree limb. Yes, there's video. The waterproof case got scuffed but the camera is a trooper! It turned off and the microSD card came free, but the thing powered back up. Donate your 3D goggles to charity or give them to someone who wants one. Unless you want to use them.
Neewer T-ring and M42 to 1.25 inch Telescope Adapter (T-mount) for Canon EOS 5d

    Simple and Purpose Built
Simple to use. I attached it to the camera and plugged it into the telescope. After that, I used the telescope's focus with manual settings on the camera. This is just an open tube that fits telescopes that have a camera option. Not fancy, because it doesn't need to be. My Canon has buttons to zoom in on a subject, when LCD is selected instead of through-the-lens viewing. Using that feature ensured focus was tight on the smallest objects in the frame. I would order the T-tube again.
