    Ericsson T39 Cellular Phone
    Sep 18, 2015
    Too tough to die...
I've used the Ericsson T39 for the past twelve years under heavy conditions on the construction sight. At one time it dropped from twenty feet on the pavement and didn't even turn off. That's a true smart phone! Even after years the original battery lasts for three to four days. Sure, I can't check the weather or the sports results, but sometimes less is more: A phone for phone calls!

Bud Anderson seems to have lived flying straight away
I read this book recently , as it appeared in german for the first time, I now bought it for a friend in England, with whom I share my passion for flying. Not only do you get a real behind the curtain point of view about the sorrows and dutys of a bloodyoung fighter pilot, but also a fantastic insight of airplanes and experimental aircrafts after WW2. What impressed me most though, was getting to know Bud Anderson, the way he talks about his companions, his superiors and even his enemies in the wars. It's always with respect and a humbleness, one cannot achieve, you'd have to be brought up with. He's not ashamed of his own mistakes or admitting luck, rather than skills sometimes, he would not bow for his own benefits: Straight as straight can be! There's nothing I dislike about the book, I recommend it to people who... ...like the good old days before WW2 ...look at the allied fight in Europe as a necessity ...like P51 Mustangs ...love to hear facts about aviation history! Get this for a taste: American fighter pilots were not too welcome in England, a lot of british soldiers didn't come back, sothere were far too many women and they were falling for the young and handsome Americans... I could not have imagined, that in times of war a rivalry could have happened. Last, but not least: Thank you Bud Anderson for what you did and how you did it and this book... with respect: steffu marti

    "Matchbox Toys" then and now
Hi, I start with the negatives. The printing is quite bad, the chart with the different wheel types is partially unidentifiable(P.8+9), the colors in some pictures are not trustworthy(P. 6+7),images between page 60 and 65 ( and other places)seem squeezed, there's mistakes in the code spelling, such as YMS P.89 is listed under YMC P. 278, I miss an index chart by the name of model and all in all the structure of the book seems "wooden" (as we say). Last, but not least, the pricing is sometimes far off. The green MB 75 Ferrari Superfast for example (priced for $ 90.- in the book) sold for $ 511.- recently on eBay, the MB 8 Mustang Superfast, white with red interior ($ 90.- in the book) sold for $ 275.- in a blisterpack on eBay a little while ago. The good thing about this book is, I have it in my hands and I wouldn't give it back. Most models are there, can be compared and the information on boxes, gift sets, twin packs and much more widens your horizon. The price seems fair and they seem already hard to find, which speaks for the over all quality and the demand. Thanks to Charlie Mack for this book and you all have fun with it... steffu
