works very well for laptops/pcs without serial ports.

works very well for laptops/pcs without serial ports. on older windows OS and LINUX, you will need to find the drivers to install them as i did which are easy to search on.

tips to configure

this is a good device if you need a home wireless solution for Wireless Bridging or AP connection. one thing i did encounter is that the password string used for WAP2 or higher cannot use special characters when in bridge mode. ($%&* etc.) has to be alpha numeric. i dont know if this is a limitation of the device or not but i had to change my main wireless router to get this to connect. maybe others can comment... but overall a great simple product...will look to get again for another bridge solution project.
