Testors 1542T Enamel Lime Gold Metal Flake 1/4 oz
    May 09, 2020
    Excellent color when used properly
So I've seen this color Lime Gold Metallic get a bad rep for it's color. But it's usually because the color was applied directly over the wrong base color or directly on top of just a primer. This is the wrong use of the color. This color best shines over a base coat colors such Gold, Silver, Orange, Yellow or even Green. These are the colors that really help give the Lime Gold the right look with the paint. In a sense the Lime Gold is somewhat Transparent and need's the right base color to help it show through right. Painting it over just a Gray primer coat is going to give a muted weird color with it. Over White is too bright. It needs a good base color to make it pop. And that is exactly what this color is about Pop! There are so many nuances to the color when you move the model car around. It almost has a Color Shift type effect to it. You get tints of Green and Yellows pop through the metal flakes. The Gold it'self still shows as the dominant color but not enough to take away from the Lime color. With enough coats of clear on top, that also helps to really bring out the shifting effect it has. The key with the paint is this works best when Airbrushed and thinned down. Paint Brushing it on can work but it doesn't let the true nature of Metal Flake to shine. That is the only reason I would give this 4 stars instead of 5 is most people might buy this using it as a brush on and may not be able to appreciate the true nature of the color. Overall though, it is a great color and paint to work with. It does cover nicely and dries durable enough when given days to a week to fully cure. I have never been disappointed by the color itself or the formulation of the paint.
FLOYD ROSE Lic. LOCKING NUT MIGHTY MITE CHROME 42MM Bottom Mnt 4 Electric Guitar

Mighty Mite Lisenced Floyd Rose 42mm Locking Nut
If you own a double locking tremolo guitar, then you know how important it is to have a good locking nut along with the locking bridge. Many cheaper import guitars and bridges come with locking nuts made a softer metal material. Over time, these cheaper made locking nuts can strip in the screw holes. As well, they also develop grooves in the metal that do not allow the string to stay clamped and locked in. The Mighty Mite Locking Nut helps to achieve the strongest lock down you can on your strings. It is made of a higher quality steel that does not strip or develop grooves as the cheaper ones to. You actually feel through your fingers, when the clamps are tightened all the way. With softer ones you can keep cranking and cranking the clamps down, till they strip out. The attention to detail that goes into the manufacturing of these pieces are outstanding. There are no burrs or sharp edges in the slots where your strings pass through. The edges are smoothed so your hands do not catch on the outside metal of the nuts base. Each clamp is shaped to fit snugly in the nuts bottom plate. Being a bottom mount also ensures full tight contact of your locking to the necks shelf that you get full (contact) tone. Also it ensures the nut will not come loose as some top mount ones can experience. I would recommend anyone with a cheaper import double locking tremolo to invest in upgrading your locking nut to a Mighty Mite locking nut. It will keep you in tune playing happily, instead of sitting down with a tuner constantly trying to get back to tune.
    Jackson® Floyd Rose Bridge Anchor & Post Black~Solid Steel~Fine Thread~Brand New

    Durable and functional
I got these as a direct replacement for cheaper floyd rose posts, and these Jackson Floyd Rose posts are stellar! They are made of hardened steel which is important and a plus to overall functionality and durability of these types of posts. They are shaped also with a hour glass type bevel which helps your knife edge to stay seated and return back to its position and stay in tune. I have been enjoying playing my guitar again knowing that it's going to stay in tune and have great mobility of use. Also the feel of the bridge when using the floyd is so much more smoother now. It feels how a tremolo should feel in use. You will not be disappointed with these should you choose to try them. The finish is durable just as the steel itself is. The price is a value for your guitar.
