How to fix product power-on problem
8 of 8 found this helpful This product SONY BDPS1700 may appear to have a problem even just turning on, but it can be fixed by searching internet with "SONY BDP-S1700 power on problem.
First, you need to first turn on the power by:
Turn off power by disconnect power adapter line in > Wait 30 seconds > plug in power > press "Eject" button on player, while simultaneously press "Eject", "Play" and "Stop" buttons on the remote. This is very awkward, and you will need a helping hand.
Then use the remote control to change the settings:
Home > Setup > System Settings > HDMI Settings > Control for HDMI:OFF.
The last step would also change "Link to TV off" to Invalid. Then the product could work independently (not subject to Bravia Sync).
