Handgun Sight Pusher Tool Universal for front or rear 1911 Glock Sig and Others
    Jan 08, 2016
    Great value
Easy to use product that saved me in fees and frustration. After 2008 a lot of local smiths packed up their storefronts, and in recent years the crowd that offers "gunsmithing" has gotten questionable. With that in mind I decided to try doing some work on my own, and first up was changing out sights. This setup is excellent and easy to use, IF you put it in a vice. Free handing works, at least for removal. For installing a new sight, however, you need to have the sight level with the slide, and a vice works very well for this. Once I figured this out I installed sights on two different pistols within about ten minutes. One downside is if you do not get the sight aligned it might take a few extra minutes to get things set up. However, it's nothing too serious and is mostly just a part of gaining familiarity with the equipment. So far I've used this tool to change rear sights on Glocks and 1911s and I am very pleased with the ease of use. I always mount it in a vice which makes using the tool a great deal easier, as does a 9/16" wrench. With those two things you have a solid, easy to use tool that saves time and money in the long run.

Trijicon GL101O HD Tritium Night Sights for Glock Orange Outline
    Jan 08, 2016
    The perfect sight?
I bought this for my carry pistol. I had been using Trijicon's standard night sights for several years, which work fine, but I was disappointed with the sight picture. The same was true of the factory night sights on another Glock. This sight is a radical departure from the standard Trijicon, with a U-shaped wide rear notch. Additionally the sight is slightly taller. The large dot is for daylight and low light, it is NOT visible in absolute dark, and is slightly visible in very low light. It is NOT a bright glowing orange dot on the front of your pistol in low light settings! The front sight does contain the usual green tritium lamp for low light/complete darkness. The wider rear notch makes taking up a solid sight picture easier, at least for me. My father tried it, and as he is pushing 70 years old pistol sights are becoming an issue to see. He was able to pick up the front sight and make hits from 10 and 15 yards with ease on a small silhouette. I've tried this sight out to 25 yards and have found it makes getting on target easier. I've also tried it at night and the usual three-dot lamp system works as it is supposed to, although that's not news to anyone. Overall I would say this is the best set of sights, for me, for Glocks. Improved sight picture means faster acquisition, and better follow up shots. The orange front outline works as an advantage in daylight/dusk but is not distracting. I highly recommend this sight to other Glock owners! I do prefer the orange outline to the yellow outline, although I have only tried the yellow once and some may prefer it.
