DLink DCS-2630L wide angle camera
1 of 1 found this helpful This camera has a good image, considering it has a 180 degree field of view. DLink claims this camera is easy to install, but I have wasted many hours trying to get it to work with my wifi network. This camera does not have an ethernet port, so the DLink Lite smart phone/tablet app must be used in the configuration process. The only way I have been able to connect the camera to my wifi network is if I use the WPS button on my wifi router or wifi extender and the camera WPS button. Even this approach usually takes multiple attempts. This type of wifi connection may be OK for a one time setup, but if the camera is ever unplugged or loses power, the whole configuration process has to be repeated. I have tried many many times to configure the camera without using the WPS approach, but have never succeeded. I spent over four hours on the phone with a DLink service technician, but still was unable to configure the camera the way I wanted. I had also sent an email request to DLink support, but never got a response.
Unless you are a complete masochist, do not buy this camera.
