cheap made & basic
This starter does work but before I replaced my working PTC starter the compressor started smoothly with no noise but now with this "Ultimate serie" Supco stater the compressor makes a rocking noise upon starting like it goes from locked rotor to kicked. BASICALLY THE START COIL IS NOT ENERGIZED FROM THE BEGINING OF CYCLE.
Be curious and have a look inside at extra cheap internals: there is just a single PTC disk (diac ?) in serie with the fat cap: $5 worth! No relay, no power triac, no electronic board like in other smart electronic starters. This 1950 tech is disapointing at best to witness.

the best timer module all around
this timer functions are somewhat well documented because it has a board number to search with. (copy-cat designs don't even have a board ID and zero documentation to be found).
This board is the "new Made in China": great in every aspect.
