Transformational moment for Europe
This is a great pre world War perspective on empire building. The author's conclusions on deployments and crucial decisions revealed how little European and British powers understood Napoleon. It also revealed how these governing powers focused less on peace and more on supression of independence and nationalism which continued to grow in Europe over the century since Napoleon's fall from grace. Great read.
