Must have
If you own an M1A this is a must-have item. Very stable. Iron sights still work with scope mounted.

Exceptional quality
Safariland's Model 27 is the rare combination of soft yet rugged qualities that make it an exceptional IWB holster. The external shell is soft to the touch yet firmly molded to the contours of the P30, while the internal lining grips the pistol just tightly enough to guarantee retention without hampering rapid release when it's time to draw. The retention hook is fully adjustable, allowing a choice of angles and maximum comfort for a sizable handgun. It's a beautiful holster for a beautiful pistol. I would have expected to pay at least twice as much as mine cost. If I run across a Safariland 27 designed to fit any of my other pistols I plan to buy it.

Gotta have it
I own two of these and plan to get another. By mounting a scope on one and an optical red-dot sight on another I can quick-change back and forth by swapping the mount and sight together without having to re-zero each sight. The tunnel that permits use of the iron sights is wide and tall enough, unlike the first generation of this sort of item was 30+ years ago. This mount sits firmly without wobble on a Colt-made carry handle as well as a lesser-name rifle.
