Nice idea but not reliable.

Well, that didn't take long. First trip through a commercial car wash and one unit failed completely. For installation, one unit fit nicely - the other took some adjusting to get it to lay properly on the headlight housing.

Nice bike with horrible owner's manual

Once you get the bike assembled, it seems to do fairly well. Motor is a little light for my weight, but beats pedaling up hills on your own! Biggest issue is the assembly -- owner's manual is incredibly lacking. Some items not covered: metal rod between main and rear frames, luggage rack, derailer guard and front reflector. Also, quality control on fit of battery pack is seriously lacking. Had to remove cover over controller under seat to lower the battery rack so the battery pack would clear the seat clamp and lock into place. Then had to modify the cover to clear the bike frame. Really poor job of quality control and attention to detail by manufacturer. Don't be surprised if small parts are scattered all over the inside of the box or missing -- plastic bag they were packed in were ripped open from freight handling. Was surprised I was able to find all of them.
