A new favorite and a super value for money spent
Well made, razor sharp. Locks up well - really solid. Ergonomics and balance are good. Mine was a bit rough when opening and closing when it first arrived. It also was hard to unlock. A good oiling and wiping off the small bits from manufacturing that always seem to be in a new knife helped a lot (It's common in even very expensive ones - are you listening Case and Benchmade?). A very small bit of metal polish ("Maas" brand to be exact) on the cam end of the blade and some working back and forth really smoothed it out. Polished the locking surfaces too. Remove the polish by wiping first, and then with some spray lube to get it all out. Wipe off the sides of the spring/lock pieces when they are at their high point as debris there matters too. Unlocking has gotten better and better as the knife wears in a bit. Just about right after a week of use, and super smooth to open and close. 100% perfect scales, blade centering, and a great blade shape for any task. D2 steel for the blade, btw. Outstanding for the price.

Super value
Perfect alignment of parts, solid lockup and easy unlock. Tab on linerlock is a bit tall (by design, not by workmanship) and gets a bit in the way when gripping knife. A slight hollow on the finger side would be a design improvement. As it is it does form a finger guard against slipping up onto the blade, so there is that. Knife is very sharp as delivered. Very even dye work on the scales and perfect jigging as well. Good, solid feel when in use. Great value for money. Do know that this is not a small knife. Best carried in a belt sheath (see eBay for those), but can be carried in a jeans pocket if needed.

Can't beat the value, fit or function
Very good fit and finish. Sharper than any hound's tooth. Good looking knife. A bit heavier than similar length trapper pattern knives, but that's expected from a moose pattern. Lots of little details make it stand out, like the match strike pulls, and the chamfered blade tops. Scales are attractive and provide a good solid grip. The clip blade is slender and will get into things easily, like opening an envelope. That said, it is slender enough to allow one's finger to contact the edge if you are careless. Easy to manage if you just look at what you're doing - a minor thing. The two blades work very well together. The spey is super for pull cuts and shaving; the clip is tops for probing and push cuts. Sure, it's made in China, but to a US design. Workmanship is very good - much better than the Case items I've bought recently, and I hate to say that. Super value for money. This one keeps finding its way into my pocket.
