Edimax Smart AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Extender (EW-7438AC)

AC750 works on 2.4GHz but not 5Ghz withourt crossband enabled....which means it uses 2.4Ghz

2.4 band works fine. 5Ghz only works w/2.4GHZ Cross Band enabled. Contacted factory and their response to make sure my router used the bands that the AC750 uses did not work. Crossband means the 5GHZ is really only using 2.4GHz band to operate. So it generates a 5GHz frequency band using 2.4GHz data rate.Whoopie! Possibly a defective unit?
