great value
This is the second dell workstation of this style, with xeon processors that I've bought. It seems like the best deal around besides servers, which sound like an air conditioner on full blast constantly. I prefer to spend 20% more for less noise. DDR ram is fairly cheap as well.
Probably the only draw back is the proprietary motherboard design. It's hard to completely remove. Once it's gone bad the whole thing is pretty much trash. You'd need like 5 specialty screwdrivers to have a chance at doing a mb change.

careful
I believe this is ECC ram, more common in[supported by] servers. It did not work in the computer I bought it for. It did work in a workstation I have - now up to 36 GB ram.. I wanted more ram for my server[which was actually just a cheap desktop]. I think I'll trade it out with workstation now. Still happy with the ram price - seemed competitive. Though I probably would have spent an extra 40% if it would have gotten me out of spending like 5 hours changing computers around[installing new oSs, moving a couple TB of files, etc.]
