One size really does fit all.
Redfield is apparently the only mount manufacturer that understands there are three lengths of 788 actions, and since this is a two piece mount, it works on all of them. I am not a fan of see-through mounts, but I have also had optics take a dump when I needed them (mostly due to our Gulf Coast humidity) and these are actually designed to work when you need the irons. The window is a usable size and its position and orientation are such that you can actually see both the target area AND the sights, and the scope position is not awkwardly high. Both cheek weld heights are comfortably achievable. If I ever own another 788 I would seek these mounts, and I recommend them for anyone who has a 788 and has difficulty finding a worthwhile optic mount.

Williams Receiver Sights - The Best Available
The Williams FP/TK receiver sights are one of the best peep sights still available. I have them on a Winchester 94 30-30, a Rossi 92 .357, and two Brownings, a B53 .32-20 and a B92 .44. I always order them with the target knobs because the knobs make it easy to zero and to count clicks if I have to dial them for the conditions. I had to have three of the above rifles drilled and tapped, but the usefulness of the sight outweighs the expense of the gunsmithing. I wish all manufacturers would continue drilling their rifles for this sight. I am planning on installing the M70/M98 version on a Winchester M70 and a Mauser M98.

Look no further, these are the BUIS you want.
I bought one set as a trial. The quality and utility of the product is so good I bought another and will continue to buy them for each build that requires such an item. I have bought and used other 'equivalent' products only to be disappointed. I now have these sights on two of my personal ARs and will recommend them to any of my associates who acquire ARs. Anyone desiring folding sights for an AR should try these sights. Just be sure that your rear and front rails are the SAME PLANE. If in doubt, lay a long straight-edge flush on the receiver rail and see if there's a gap between the straight-edge and the front rail or if the two surfaces are the same height. Also if you are mounting the front on a gas block rather than a handguard rail, make sure you are buying a steel or aluminum bodied front sight (like this one) and NOT POLYMER. The gas block gets hella hot and will melt a polymer or other plastic front sight!
