Necessary tool for acoustic music venues
I got tired of inconsistent results with pickups on upright basses and passive DIs, even good ones like the JDI or Fearn. Having at least one piezo specialized DI especially at this price is a huge help. So far, no noise issues with any pickup/amp combinations and I'm getting much less band limited tone than passive dis. The buffer seems to also help the signal along to amps where the loading of passive dis caused signal loss or tone suck. If you are doing jazz or genres with upright every night, I highly recommend having one of these around.
