Have the XM3's and the XM4's are worth the upgrade
I own the XM3's and loved them EXCEPT it drove me crazy that you couldn't have them paired to more than one device at a time. But now with the XM4's you can and I love that feature because I switch between my phone and laptop a lot.
There's also little tweaks here & there that make the upgrade worthwhile in my eyes.

The best of the best
Love these headphones! Amazing tech. Awesome sound quality. Very comfortable. Two thumbs from me.
I previously owned the Sony XB950N1's and h.ear on 2's. Both of those headphones had their own shortcomings. The WH-1000XM3 are clearly the flagship wireless headphones for Sony and I don't think any other wireless headphone comes close to the awesomeness of the M3's.
