Smooth overdrive that retains your articulation and dynamics
My use for this is very specific and unusual. I wanted an overdrive for fiddle/electric violin, and have played a few. This one had a very smooth sound without too much gain. The fact that it let the natural acoustic sound of the fiddle come through along with the overdrive clinches the deal for me. It makes a great clean boost or a little raw-edged for slide-guitar like leads but without the feedback or shrillness that can sometimes come with guitar distortion. Many guitar players rave about these as well.
