Brown Ash Baskets
The author did a good job of covering baskets from the Northeast Woodland area. There was, however, not enough emphasis on the elder weavers who really are to be credited with keeping this traditional art alive. Although later organizations did contribute to the preservation of the traditional art, it was the weavers who were truly responsible for the preservation of an ancient tradition within the tribes. I'd like to see more of an emphasis on that history and baskets from that Victorian era of the fancy basket-making trade.

Shaker Baskets
This is an amazing book on Shaker baskets. Filled with history, pictures, and instructions in basket projects. Definitely a reference book worth keeping.
