A fair assesment.
1 of 1 found this helpful a fair assessment of President Clinton's presidential inaction. The author admits, as a daily aide de camp, the President was an affalabe fellow and enjoyable to be around - he just neglected his presidential duties in times of need.

Stand On It by Stroker Ace
When it first came out was absolutely a side splitter - especially the first few pages. An awfully correct rendition of mid 1960's racing fraternity hijinks. Of course "Stroker" takes on the personage of each real racer who created the back ground for each episode - but if you knew the background and were there in the 60's - why you recognize the evil driver villains.
But now - a bit dated and most likely the current racing fans won't believe what really went on before racing became huge and sponsorship with huge diesel trucks full of race cars and special engines made the current scene.
Nevertheless - a book that should be on every car guys bookshelf. Its a slice of time that most likely will never occur again and try as they might - Hollywood could NEVER render the book correctly - a C+ movie at best.
I was waiting for Stroker II to come out. Didn't happen, not to happen. Alas
