Ok for general monitoring
Seems to be fairly accurate when I compared it to my calibrated thermometer but is only used as a visual check. I have had one of these running for about 2 years without failure. We use it to monitor different zones in the reptiles enclosure.
If you need to maintain a constant temperature then the only real way to do this is to use a digital controller of which there are three types to choose from acccording to the equipment that is plugged in to it. The other is to correctly size your equipment such as heat lamps and pads

Great products but overpriced
Eheim make alot of specialised parts but in terms of filter material they are overpriced
