Cuisinart Cast Iron Hot Plate 1300 Watt Coil-less Even Heat Thermostat ON-Light

it works

I bought this hot plate to pressure can food. It has enough power to do that with a granite ware 20 quart pressure canner. With the 1300 watt hot plate I can can all day and use the stove at the same time. It does take a bit longer to heat up the pressure canner than my stove, but you are able to more the canner away from the stove, or can on the stove and still have a large burner available.
