Canon NB-4L Li-Ion Battery Review
Got two of these a while ago, and I have been using both quite often, as I take the camera to gigs to film. So far I have hot had any problems at all. Good product and the seller service was excellent as well.

This is a great camera, I'd definetly reccomend it as a entry-
This is my first DSLR, so I'm afraid I can not provide an objective comparison to other entry level DSLR cameras. Initially I wanted to buy a Nikon D3100, but I opted for this one for two reasons - the price and the 15.1MP sensor (according to Canon website this camera has 15.1MP, NOT 15.5MP sensor).
I find it easy to use, though I haven't completely figured out how to use all of the manual functions properly yet. However, there is a Creative Auto mode, that allows beginners such as myself use the camera in a sort of semi-auto mode (there are plenty of the usual full-auto options as well, but I don't really see the point to buy a DSLR if you're only going use those.). The user manual clearly explains the use of each mode and option, from full auto to advanced manual modes.
The 18-55mm lens that came with the camera is plenty for me to start with, and obviously you can attach any compatible lens you wish. The picture quality is great, I haven't done any night shots yet though.
I was surprised about how light the camera was, I was expecting it to be three times the wight. Maybe that's just me though, as I said I have no previous experience with DSLRs.
To sum up - I think this is a great camera, a good option for a beginner as it is quite easy to use. By the time you fully understand the manual options on this one, you'll be ready for something more advanced.
