Good Value!

I have about 10 of these camera's (DS-2CD2232-I5) installed outside. Great quality, plenty of setup features,easy setup and work well with various security camera software. I have the cameras mounted on telephone poles and support night shots with security lighting. These cameras have the larger infrared lights and work well but I get more distance with the extra lighting. Camera's come with a software for discovering and making initial changes to the cameras. Hikvision software makes it easy for most users to get cameras setup with minimal knowledge of IP setups. I use power over ethernet for my setup but camera has a 12volt input as another way of powering up camera. I also like the ethernet gasket included which keeps the connection rain tight. For the money its a good camera. I have also used very expensive camera's and they performed no better than this camera does. I dont get anything for writing this review but when something is worth the cost, I dont mind writing about it. I do not have any information on the firmware upgrade problems I have read about American version vs Chinese version.

Dewalt 15 min charger.

I have owned one of these for years. They work very well. If you purchase one you will never use another one hour charger. My first thought years back was that my batteris would not last as long but that has not been the case. I use the charger daily. I bought another for a backup. This unit will charge a battery faster than you can run one down.
