Handy little video camera

I have only had this video camera a few days and have played with it a little. It is very basic, point and record, with very little zoom. However, it's small and lightweight enough to keep with you at all times. It can fit in your pocket, purse, diaper bag or backpack without extra bulk or weight. It's actually a little lighter than my iPhone, about the same length, a little more narrow, and just a little thicker. I have played video back on a computer only, haven't tried the tv. It's not as good as watching video from a more advanced camcorder that you would typically take home video on (also not as good as the video setting on my Canon Powershot S5 IS still camera), but good enough to use as a back up. The video was generally clear, a little less clear on large screen view, but not too bad. The video was also a litte jerky, like it was streaming several still shots really fast, but it didn't really interfere with the flow of what you were capturing. It still caught the scene very nicely. The still pics wer fairly good. The main reason I got this was for my 5yo son to use since he wants to video but I don't want him to use my good camera or camcorder. Without me showing him anything on how to use it, he turned it on, recorded a short video and played it back. So it is very simple. You probably will need to read over the instructions to know how to use all of the buttons (such as how to get to the settings menu), but that is not difficult once you look over the instructions. I wouldn't recommend it for a main video camera to document special occasions, however, it is a nice little camcorder that you can keep with you at all times for when that little moment pops up and you wish you could record it for your memory or to share with someone else. It also seems great for kids. It is sturdy enough and simple enough for them to use.

Son loves it

This was a replacement for one we had that got messed up. I can't say anything about my personal experience but my 12yo son loves the game. So much, he had to get a replacement for it.
