Watercolor Fix-It Book by Tony Van Hasselt; Judi Wagner
Aug 27, 2019
WATERCOLOR FIX-IT BOOK
I only dinged it because my specific copy had a strong smell of smoke and mold. A couple of days in a bag with baking soda fixed that. Lots of good Ideas, but it is not a recipe book for lifting off mistakes... which is what I thought it was. As a result of this book, my watercolors are looking more like watercolors and less like gauche paintings.

Honestly we were in the Grand Canyon in early december and I had hoped to buy some nice ornaments as a memento or our trip. No such luck in the park. An online search led me to this and it arrived at our home before we did. Nice.

Finally. I never thought I would ever own this book.
I went to this exhibit, when it was at LACMA -- twice -- and nearly bought this catalog both times, then when the show closed and moved the catalogs were no more. I have spent years trying to buy this catalog since. While I don't agree 100% with the authors it is an excellent work and I am glad to finally have the this at a price I could afford. It was something like $19 when I last held it in my hands. When I decided not having DECODING MIMBRES PAINTING was causing a Ventricular Septal Defect especially when I kept seeing copies sell for more than $200 I was totally surprised when this copy showed up on saved searches list. It took me all of 4 seconds to press the buy button...
